The Towns We Cover

Most of our work is right here in Bayonne. We also take jobs in Jersey City, Union City, Newark, Elizabeth, East Orange, Irvington and Union. If you own a house, manage a few apartments or rent out a two-family, we handle drywall repair, patching, hanging, finishing and ceiling repair in all of those places.

We do some work across the water in Staten Island, Brooklyn and New York too. Travel and parking there take more planning, so we talk through scheduling on the first call. Wherever you are, the job runs the same way. We protect the floors, keep a clean work area, match the texture and leave the patch ready for a paint touch-up.

What We See in Walls Around Here

  1. 01

    Older homes and mixed walls

A lot of houses in this area are decades old. Many have plaster in some rooms and drywall in others, often from past renovations. Joining new drywall to old plaster takes careful shimming and taping, or the seam shows. We check what is behind the surface before we quote, so the price holds.

  2. 02

    Seasons and cracks

Humid summers and dry, heated winters make framing swell and shrink. That shows up as hairline cracks at corners, over doors and along ceiling seams. Cracks that come back every year usually need the tape redone, not just more mud. Fall and spring are good times to plan this work, before the heat runs all winter.

  3. 03

    Water spots on ceilings

Stained or sagging ceiling drywall is common under bathrooms and in top floor units. We cut out the wet section, replace it and match the ceiling texture. The source of the leak has to be fixed first, so we will tell you if we see it is still active.

  4. 04

    Landlords and tenants

In multi-family buildings, wall damage often turns up between tenants or after a repair in the unit next door. Call us early and we can line up the work for a set date, give you a written list of what we found and keep the work area small so the unit is usable fast.

  5. 05

    Permits

Small patches and repairs usually do not need a permit. Bigger jobs, like hanging new walls or replacing large ceiling sections, can, depending on the town. We tell you up front when a job may need one, so it is part of the plan and not a surprise.
